Padma Vibhushan awardee and legendary Pandavani exponent Teejan Bai passed away in Raipur, Chhattisgarh on 5 July 2026 at the age of 70. She is an artiste who took the ancient Chhattisgarhi folk tradition of Pandavani, the musical narration of the Mahabharata, to the world.
